On 30th October 2010, “The 1st International CBU TEFL Conference” entitled: “Learning, Teaching and Research in TEFL” will be organized in Manisa/Turkey.
The 1st International TEFL Conference aims to bring together the professionals and researchers in the field of TEFL. The speakers, participants and two distinguished keynote speakers will share and discuss ideas, problems and new trends in TEFL in a friendly, informative and stimulating atmosphere.
There will be two distinguished scholars as the keynote speakers: Steve Darn and Paul Seligson, whom it is believed will have many contributions to the professional development of the participants. It is also expected that both national and international TEFL researchers to take part in the event to share their research findings.
Proposals for oral presentations and workshops are invited on the following (but not limited to) themes:
· EFL Materials Development and Evaluation
· Syllabus Design and Curriculum Development
· English Language Testing and Assessment
· Teaching English to Young Adults
· English Language Teacher Education
· Using Technology in EFL classes
Speakers can present their papers in 20 minutes and workshops will be presented in 30 minutes. The presenters are expected to submit a maximum 300-word structured abstract as a proposal until 20 August 2010. All proposals will be reviewed by the Screening Committee for scope and quality.
